A delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross visited CMWU's headquarters, in order to discuss and agree on the mechanisms and procedures for implementing a group of development and emergency projects to be funded by the Red Cross during 2021, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed on the matter with the International Committee of the Red Cross. This was in addition to discussing the needs of the water, sanitation, and rainwater sector during the coming few years, amid the International Committee of the Red Cross's interest in improving the humanitarian, health, and environmental situation for the residents of the Gaza Strip, and as a continuation of the group of related projects implemented by CMWU funded by the Red Cross, particularly emergency and development ones.

The visiting delegation was received by CMWU's Director-General Eng. Monther Shoblaq, in the presence of his Deputy for Planning and Projects Affairs Eng. Maher Al-Najjar, with the delegation including Mr. Ben Moon, Head of the Water and Habitat Team, Ms. Tamou Van Gastel, Resilience Program Manager, and Eng. Islam Al-Bouji, Water and Habitat Section Engineer at the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip.
