
CMWU, in partnership with Medecins Sans Frontieres Holland, installed a desalination plant in Gaza (11 cubic meters per hour) securing drinking water for about 24,000 beneficiaries.
In a humanitarian step aimed at easing residents' suffering amid the continuing war on the Gaza Strip, CMWU, in partnership with Medecins Sans Frontieres - Holland, and in cooperation with Gaza Municipality, implemented a project to install and operate a desalination plant in Gaza City with a production capacity of 11 cubic meters per hour.
This contributes to securing clean drinking water for about 24,000 beneficiaries.
CMWU supplies the plant with the chemicals needed for operation and maintenance, to ensure the continuity of work and the quality of the water produced, as part of its national and technical responsibility in managing and operating water facilities in the Strip.
