Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions and the continuing war, CMWU crews continue their efforts to secure drinking water for displaced persons, installing and constructing water filling points next to the Utility's desalination plant, installed inside the main warehouses west of Khan Younis city.
The plant has a production capacity of about 1,200 cubic meters per day, which has significantly contributed to meeting the needs of the surrounding shelter centers and camps, particularly with the increasing waves of intense displacement from areas west of the city.
In a related context, CMWU continues to supply residents and displaced persons in various areas of the central and southern Gaza Strip with drinking water, through its tankers, which are filled periodically from seawater desalination plants, as part of its emergency response to meet growing needs and ensure the minimum level of access to clean water for citizens amid the current field and humanitarian challenges.
