Urgent Maintenance of the Al-Rawda Desalination Plant in Al-Zawayda to Secure Water for Residents and Displaced Persons
CMWU carried out urgent maintenance on the Al-Rawda desalination plant in the Al-Zawayda area, after it had stopped operating for several days. The plant has a production capacity of 480 cubic meters per day, and is one of the vital sources for providing water in the area.
The maintenance works included electrical and mechanical repairs and correcting the plant's calibrations, aiming to restore its operational efficiency and ensure the continuity of water pumping to citizens.
This intervention comes amid the urgent need for drinking water, particularly with the continuing war and the increasing number of displaced persons, which increases the pressure on water facilities in various areas.
The Utility affirmed that its technical crews worked continuously to complete the maintenance as quickly as possible, out of concern to meet the needs of residents and displaced persons, and ensure water reaches them regularly.
