Amid the Continuing War and Power Outages: CMWU Supplies Electric Generators for Two Water Wells in Gaza and Jabalia
As part of a vital intervention amid the exceptional conditions Gaza is experiencing as a result of the continuing war and the ongoing power outage, CMWU, with support from UNICEF, supplied and installed electric power generators for two water wells in Gaza City and Jabalia town.
The works included supplying and installing an electric generator for the Jabalia al-Nazla water well with a capacity of 110 KVA, which serves more than 15,000 residents. Another generator was also installed for the Al-Rimal 1 water well in Gaza City with a capacity of 88 KVA, serving about 20,000 residents and displaced persons.
It is worth noting that these wells target residents connected to the municipality's network, in addition to the displacement camps adjacent to them.
This intervention is highly important to ensure the continued operation of water wells amid the major challenges facing the technical crews, and to contribute to easing the severity of the humanitarian crisis facing the affected areas.
