Amid Ongoing Challenges: CMWU Carries Out Maintenance Works on Water and Sanitation Facilities in the Gaza Strip
CMWU, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out maintenance works on operating and control systems, alongside other electrical works, at a number of water and sanitation facilities spread across scattered areas of the Gaza Strip.
These works included maintaining the control and operating systems at the Industrial Zone water well, and the Al-Shawa well in Beit Hanoun, north of the Strip, in addition to the Al-Wakala water well, and the Al-Husseiniya and New Camp sewage pumping stations in the Nuseirat area, central Gaza Strip.
This intervention comes at an extremely sensitive time given the deterioration of infrastructure as a result of the war and harsh living conditions, and is one of the important interventions aimed at strengthening the continuity of water and sanitation services, and ensuring the minimum health requirements for residents in the various affected areas.
