CMWU crews continue repairing sanitation networks in Gaza, Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and Beit Hanoun despite continuing bombardment as the war resumed.
Despite the dangerous conditions with the resumption of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and continuing bombardment, CMWU crews, in cooperation with Gaza Municipality and the municipalities of North Gaza Governorate, continue their tireless efforts to clean and repair sanitation networks and address sewage overflow points in areas that sustained widespread destruction of infrastructure as a result of the Israeli war.
The technical teams began their work using the machinery and equipment needed to deal with the problems caused by sewage overflow, in various areas of Gaza City, Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and Beit Hanoun, aiming to ease the repercussions of the significant destruction that affected sanitation networks and infrastructure.
The crews are working to clean sanitation lines and networks of the debris that caused blockages, which had affected the sewage drainage process. Efforts are also focused on addressing overflow locations within residential neighborhoods and removing health hazards, which pose a direct threat to the environment and residents' safety.
This intervention is part of ongoing efforts to rehabilitate infrastructure and ensure the continued delivery of essential services to citizens, amid the difficult conditions facing the Strip.
