CMWU Supplies Materials, Tools, and Safety Equipment to Support Municipal Crews During the Winter Season
Funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, and under the supervision and implementation of CMWU, quantities of materials, tools, and personal protective equipment were supplied, as part of efforts to strengthen the readiness of CMWU's and the municipalities' crews in the Gaza Strip to face the challenges of the winter season.
This intervention comes in response to urgent field needs, as the supplied materials and equipment aim to support routine maintenance work, and enable emergency teams to carry out urgent interventions efficiently and safely, contributing to the continuity of water and sanitation services and reducing the potential risks resulting from harsh weather conditions.
CMWU affirmed that this support is part of ongoing cooperation with international partners, foremost among them the International Committee of the Red Cross, to strengthen the capacity of local institutions to respond to emergencies and protect field workers, particularly given the complex humanitarian and environmental conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
