CMWU, funded by Oxfam, is preparing the entrance of the South Gaza seawater desalination plant to facilitate water tanker movement.
Funded by Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association, CMWU is working to prepare the entrance of the seawater desalination plant south of the Gaza Strip, to accommodate the active movement of water tankers that fill desalinated water from the plant to supply residents and displaced persons with water, as this plant is one of the most important sources of drinking water for the residents of the central and southern Strip.
The works include creating filling points for carts and residents and a water drainage line, in addition to paving the plant's entrance. These works aim to remove the health hazard formed as a result of the significant pressure the Israeli war has placed on the plant given its status as the most important water source, as well as facilitating the process of supplying residents and displaced persons with drinking water, in addition to facilitating the entry of water tankers to the plant.
