Preparing CMWU Crews for Emergency Interventions at Quarantine Centers
Gaza / CMWU
CMWU formed emergency teams exceptionally equipped with protective clothing, gloves, masks, and protective tools for emergency interventions at the Strip's quarantine centers, alongside holding health education workshops on the correct methods of using and disinfecting protective equipment.
In the same context, the Utility's technical crews in Rafah city rapidly responded to a sewage overflow report at Mirmara and Ghassan Kanafani schools, used as quarantine units in the city, with the Utility's crews heading to the location and doing what was needed, taking the utmost health precautions in such circumstances, including protective clothing and disinfecting the crews after completing the task in accordance with the agreed health standards.
This intervention comes as one of three similar interventions carried out by CMWU during the past few days regarding sewage networks, in addition to supplying quarantine units with clean drinking water when needed.
