CMWU's engineering and technical crews are currently, in cooperation with the relevant bodies in the Strip, constructing water and sewage networks for the field hospital being constructed west of Rafah city, which contains 500 rooms equipped with sanitation units designated for quarantine, as an alternative to schools and other places currently used for quarantine.

The technical and engineering crews, supported by engineering equipment, are supplying the hospital with water and sewage lines in accordance with the sound health standards agreed upon internationally.

CMWU will also supervise the collection of sewage water from the quarantine units, once the field hospital is operational, in special collection chambers to be chlorinated and then safely transported using tankers to the sewage treatment plant affiliated with Rafah city.
