CMWU, funded by the Red Cross, rehabilitated damaged sanitation networks in Nuseirat camp to reduce sewage overflow.
CMWU, in cooperation with Nuseirat Municipality, carried out rehabilitation and maintenance works on a number of sanitation networks in various areas within Nuseirat camp, as part of a project aimed at supporting the municipality's capacities through the rental of specialized equipment and machinery, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
These works come to address the damage sustained by these networks as a result of Israeli bombardment, and to reduce environmental and health impacts, and protect residents and displaced persons from the risks of sewage overflow and the spread of disease.
These networks serve a large number of residents and displaced persons in Nuseirat camp, further underscoring the importance of this intervention in ensuring the continuity of essential services, reducing health risks, and improving environmental conditions in the area.
