Emergency maintenance of the water transmission line from the Southern desalination plant to Canada and Al-Amal reservoirs, serving about 110,000 people in Rafah and Khan Younis.
CMWU carried out emergency maintenance on the water transmission line from the seawater desalination plant south of the Gaza Strip, as this line transports water to Canada reservoir in Rafah, which serves residents in Al-Sultan neighborhood, Canada, and the eastern areas of Rafah and other areas, numbering about 100,000 people, in addition to Al-Amal reservoir in Khan Younis, which serves about 10,000 people, with this line considered one of the important water sources for Rafah and Khan Younis cities.
It is worth noting that the three seawater desalination plants in the Gaza Strip, located along the Strip's coastal strip, are considered among the most important strategic projects in the Gaza Strip, aiming to improve the water service for residents and ease the burden on the groundwater aquifer.
