CMWU crews, in coordination with the Palestinian Water Authority, repaired an emergency fault in the Emirati desalinated water transmission line in the Rafah Mawasi area.
CMWU crews, in field coordination with the Palestinian Water Authority, carried out emergency maintenance work on the Emirati desalinated water transmission line located south of Muawiya Mosque in the Rafah Mawasi area, which transmits desalinated water from the Emirati desalination plant established on the Egyptian side, as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the continuity of water services for residents and displaced persons.
The works included addressing the emergency faults that had affected the transmission line, which had caused weak water flow and reduced transmission efficiency, affecting the arrival of water supplies to the beneficiary areas and worsening the suffering of residents and displaced persons who depend on this line to obtain water.
The technical crews were able to complete the maintenance work and repair the faults, contributing to restoring the line's operational efficiency and the normal flow of water, which improved water access to the beneficiary areas and strengthened the continuity of service.
These works are part of CMWU's ongoing efforts to maintain the sustainability of operating water facilities and lines, and to respond quickly to emergency faults, contributing to securing water access at the minimum possible level for residents and displaced persons, despite the operational challenges and difficult humanitarian conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
