Emergency maintenance of Al-Muntazah water well in Al-Bureij camp, as part of the Red Cross-funded wells maintenance project.
CMWU carried out emergency maintenance on Al-Muntazah water well in Al-Bureij camp, central Gaza Strip, in order to raise its efficiency and improve the water service in the areas benefiting from it, particularly with the onset of the summer season and increased water consumption by residents.
This comes as part of the works of the project to maintain and rehabilitate water wells, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, implemented by CMWU in cooperation with the municipalities of the Gaza Strip.
This project aims to contribute to strengthening the capacity of CMWU and the municipalities to provide their services to residents, particularly amid the difficult conditions and weak capabilities faced by water service providers in the Gaza Strip, and providing everything that works to improve water services, which leads to the continued supply of services to residents.
It is worth noting that CMWU had, during the past few days, rehabilitated the eastern F205 water well in Wadi Gaza town and the F203 water well in Al-Maghraqa town, central Gaza Strip, in addition to maintaining the G49 well in the Abu Mahadi area in Nuseirat, and also carried out maintenance on Al-Baraka and Al-Ahrash wells in Khan Younis.
