CMWU, under the emergency WASH project funded by the UN, began maintenance of sanitation networks in Al-Amal neighborhood and central Khan Younis.
CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality and the Al-Nakheel Palestinian Development Association, began carrying out maintenance and repair works on sanitation networks in various areas of Khan Younis city, as part of the Emergency Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Response Project, funded by the United Nations Humanitarian Fund for the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt HF).
The works included carrying out maintenance work on sanitation networks in Al-Amal neighborhood, specifically around Hamza Mosque, the Hisham Amer square, and the area opposite the Red Crescent Hospital, in addition to maintenance of a number of sanitation points in the city center, including Al-Danani Street and the area around Al-Aqsa Community College.
These works are part of efforts aimed at improving the efficiency of sanitation services and reducing overflow and leaks, contributing to strengthening public health and reducing environmental risks, particularly given the exceptional humanitarian conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
