CMWU, funded by the World Food Programme, maintained the rainwater drainage line on Salah Al-Din Street in Abu Houli, Deir al-Balah.

CMWU carried out maintenance and repair works on the rainwater drainage line on Salah Al-Din Street in the Abu Houli area, south of Deir al-Balah city, central Gaza Strip, which sustained significant damage as a result of the recent Israeli targeting and military operations in the area.

This intervention comes funded by the World Food Programme (WFP) and in cooperation with Deir al-Balah Municipality.

This intervention aims to protect residents from the risks of rainwater flooding and ensure the drainage of rainwater from Salah Al-Din Street, which is a main artery linking the south of the Gaza Strip with the north, and to avoid closures or obstructions to vehicle movement during the rainy season.
