CMWU's technical crews managed to repair and operate the desalination plant in the Abraj Ain Jalut area of Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip, which has a production capacity of 120 cubic meters per day, after it sustained severe damage as a result of continued Israeli bombardment.
The plant was restored to service and full-capacity operation after intensive efforts to repair the damaged equipment and replace the main parts affected by the bombardment.
This plant is one of the vital facilities serving the area's residents, providing clean, safe drinking water to about 40,000 people living in the area and surrounding areas.
Restoring the plant's operation is an important step toward easing the suffering of residents who faced significant difficulties in obtaining drinking water amid the continuing war.
