CMWU Repairs the Sanitation Network in Al-Amal Neighborhood in Khan Younis
CMWU repaired and rehabilitated the sanitation network in Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis city, particularly after it sustained severe damage as a result of Israeli military operations in the city, in field coordination with the Palestinian Water Authority, funded by Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association and Khan Younis Municipality.
It is worth noting that, due to the severe damage sustained by the sanitation network in that area, a health hazard formed at the location, negatively affecting residents and displaced persons.
This project is part of the water utility's emergency plan to repair the sanitation system in Khan Younis, with the work including repairing 1.3 kilometers of main sanitation networks and maintaining manholes.
