CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, maintained a sanitation line in the New Camp area of Nuseirat and several other networks, serving over 11,000 people.
CMWU, in cooperation with Nuseirat Municipality and with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out maintenance work on a 40-meter sanitation line in the New Camp area, alongside maintaining a number of sanitation manholes in the area.
The works also included desludging, unblocking, and emergency maintenance of a number of sanitation networks in scattered areas, most notably Ayesh Street in Ard Al-Mufti, the Khalid Bin Al-Walid area, in addition to the Ard Al-Saftawi area, aiming to improve network efficiency and reduce overflow and accumulations that could pose a health and environmental risk to residents.
The crews also carried out desludging works on a number of main sewage pumping stations, to ensure their continued efficient operation and prevent any blockages that could affect the operation of sanitation networks in the area. These interventions serve more than 11,000 residents of those areas.
