CMWU, funded by the Red Cross, maintained Ibn Taymiyyah well in Rafah, serving about 4,000 people in Al-Salam neighborhood.
CMWU carried out maintenance on Ibn Taymiyyah water well in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, with the well serving about 4,000 residents of Al-Salam neighborhood.
This comes as part of the project to maintain and rehabilitate water wells and sources funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, which includes carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation for numerous water wells in various governorates, particularly those out of service.
It is worth noting that this project aims primarily to contribute to strengthening the capacity of CMWU and the municipalities to provide their services to residents, particularly amid the difficult conditions and weak capabilities faced by water service providers in the Gaza Strip, in addition to improving water services particularly with the onset of the summer season and the increased need for water consumption.
