CMWU Receives the Water Reservoir Construction Project in Khuza'a Town, Khan Younis Governorate
CMWU has preliminarily received the project to construct and equip the ground water reservoir for Khuza'a town, with generous funding from the World Bank.
CMWU was represented by Eng. Ahmed Shaker, Eng. Majed Zaqout, Eng. Robin Al-Madhloum, and Eng. Hashem Taha, while Khuza'a Municipality was represented by its Mayor Shahda Abu Rok and Eng. Ismail Al-Shawaf, and Musa Abu Jame' from the Eastern Area Water Council.
Eng. Robin Al-Madhloum, Head of the Projects Implementation and Supervision Section, affirmed that the Utility is committed to providing full support to the town's residents, and affirmed that the reservoir construction project was carried out to the highest international standards, and it was agreed with the implementing company to address a number of observations recorded during the project's preliminary inspection.
Al-Madhloum pointed out that the project consists of constructing a ground water reservoir with a capacity of 1,800 cubic meters, equipped with all the equipment and devices necessary for operating the reservoir, with the project's total cost estimated at about $800,000, noting that the Utility is working to implement numerous development programs to improve water services in various municipalities of the Strip and will continue to propose projects and secure the necessary funding to implement them in partnership with local and international institutions.
For his part, Mayor Abu Rok expressed his thanks to CMWU, which is helping Khuza'a Municipality and the town's residents overcome the negative effects of the last aggression, and Abu Rok praised the importance of joint cooperation through implementing numerous strategic infrastructure and water projects.
