CMWU received a delegation from Action Against Hunger, during a field visit to the Utility's desalination plant installed inside the main warehouses west of Khan Younis Governorate.
This visit is part of joint cooperation and coordination to improve access to safe water sources, particularly amid the difficult humanitarian conditions facing the area.
The desalination plant has a production capacity of about 1,200 cubic meters per day, contributing to providing water to the shelter centers spread west of Khan Younis city and its surrounding areas.
This plant gains special importance given the high population density of displaced persons in the areas west of Khan Younis, making it a key pillar in supporting humanitarian efforts and securing the minimum level of urgent water needs.
