CMWU Maintains the Al-Saraya Water Well in Gaza City

As part of CMWU's emergency plan to maintain wells and water sources, the water utility carried out maintenance on the Al-Saraya water well in Gaza City, particularly after it sustained severe damage as a result of Israeli bombardment, funded by Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association and in cooperation with Gaza Municipality.

The works included maintaining the electrical panel and the pumping manifold for the well, and fully maintaining the well building, in addition to installing a cooling system for the well, and improving water supplies reaching the areas benefiting from the well, particularly given the difficult conditions. The well serves 5,000 people in the areas around Al-Saraya, Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, and Al-Jalaa, with a production capacity of 50 cubic meters per hour.
