CMWU Begins Rehabilitating the Southern UNRWA Water Well in Khan Younis City

As part of the "Water Wells Maintenance and Rehabilitation Project" funded by the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) through Oxfam, in partnership with the Palestinian Environmental Friends (PEF) Association, CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, began rehabilitating the southern UNRWA water well in Khan Younis city, with drilling a new pit for the well having been completed as a result of the old pit's blockage, and this phase will also include carrying out mechanical maintenance for the well, in addition to replacing its damaged parts and rehabilitating the well's pumping system, which leads to raising its efficiency and strengthening the water network in the areas the well feeds with water, as that well serves the Al-Amal neighborhood, the Japanese neighborhood, and the western camp areas.
