CMWU, in cooperation with UNICEF, continues its intensive efforts to supply returning residents of Rafah with safe drinking water. This is being achieved through the deployment of CMWU water tankers, in a step aimed at alleviating the suffering of residents, especially following the extensive destruction caused by the recent Israeli military operations in the governorate.
In a related context, CMWU technical teams have successfully restored the Saudi Reservoir Water Well and the Sikka Water Well to service after completing the necessary maintenance work. This comes as part of ongoing efforts to gradually restore water services in Rafah.
CMWU reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the continuous supply of water to residents despite the challenging circumstances. It also called on international and local entities to enhance their support for the rehabilitation of water infrastructure, contributing to the improvement of humanitarian conditions in the region.
