CMWU Implements Awareness Activities in the Field of Water Conservation in Several Schools in Central and Northern Gaza Strip

CMWU implemented interactive awareness activities in several schools in central and northern Gaza Strip, within the public awareness program funded by the Gulf Cooperation Council states for the reconstruction of Gaza through the Islamic Development Bank, with the aim of raising the awareness of male and female students at various educational levels about water problems and issues, and encouraging them to practice sound behaviors and optimal water use.

The activity was implemented in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Education in four schools: Jabalia Girls' Preparatory School in the north of the Strip, Al-Nuseirat Girls' Preparatory School, Sabra and Shatila School, and Abdul Karim Al-Aklouk Boys' School in both Deir al-Balah and Al-Nuseirat, and the school administrations and school health administrations at the Ministry of Education showed great interest and cooperation with the activities, given the importance of educating students about water issues and raising a generation that feels a sense of responsibility towards important issues in society.

The interactive activities included numerous artistic performances such as songs, theatrical performances, puppets, and poetry recitation, all pointing to the water problems in the Gaza Strip and urging all parties to bear their responsibilities towards conserving and strengthening water resources.

The activities included competitions about water and the distribution of prizes to winners, with a festive, interactive atmosphere prevailing during the implementation of the activities, and the Ministry of Education extended thanks to CMWU and the Islamic Development Bank for their support of these activities and events.
