CMWU carried out the final handover of the Al-Satr and Al-Amal neighborhood reservoirs construction project in Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip, from the local implementing company (Masoud and Ali Company), with the handover process carried out through a committee from CMWU's Supervision and Operation departments, consisting of Eng. Robin Al-Madhloum, Eng. Mohammed Sorour, Eng. Bashar Shahin, Khaled Matar, and Haidar Abu Marzouq, in the presence of representatives from Khan Younis Municipality, in addition to a representative of the implementing company, with the committee conducting an operational drill to verify the readiness of the pumping system and the integrity of the equipment present at both sites.

It is worth noting that CMWU had begun, about a year ago and funded by the European Union, the project to construct those reservoirs, which are expected to contribute to improving the quantity and quality of water supplied to residents of those areas, as these areas are considered among the most affected areas in terms of water quality and quantity, particularly in the summer season, due to their proximity to the sea coast, with both reservoirs supplied with water sources of quality meeting international standards.
