CMWU Rehabilitates "Sheikh Zayed" Water Well in Beit Lahia City

Funded by the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) through Oxfam, CMWU, in cooperation with Beit Lahia Municipality and in partnership with the Palestinian Environmental Friends (PEF) Association, rehabilitated "Sheikh Zayed" water well in Beit Lahia city, north of the Gaza Strip.

The process included maintaining all the well's equipment and replacing all its damaged parts, in addition to rehabilitating the well's power generator, aiming to raise the well's efficiency and increase its productivity, which leads to improving the quantities of water reaching residents' homes, as this well serves residents in Qulaibou and Sheikh Zayed areas, numbering about 10,000 people.
