CMWU, in cooperation with Al-Zawayda Municipality, carried out maintenance and rehabilitation works on "Al-Sawarha" sewage pumping station in Al-Zawayda town, central Gaza Strip, aiming to raise its efficiency and readiness to operate to prevent the formation of health hazards, particularly amid the continuing spread of the coronavirus, as this station serves residents in Al-Sawarha area in Al-Zawayda town and parts of Nuseirat, numbering about 20,000 people.
This comes as part of the emergency repair and maintenance project linked to combating the coronavirus, implemented by CMWU in cooperation with the German development organization GIZ, which comes in the context of the project to support residents' stability in the Gaza Strip funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The Coastal Municipalities Water Utility has maintained and rehabilitated the sewage pumping station "Al-Sawarha" in the town of Al-Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip.
This comes within the framework of the emergency repair and maintenance project related to fighting against the Coronavirus, which is implemented by the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility upon an agreement signed with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
