CMWU Carries Out Maintenance and Rehabilitation of the Northern UNRWA Water Well in Khan Younis

CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, carried out maintenance and rehabilitation works on the northern UNRWA water well in the Japanese neighborhood in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to raise this well's efficiency, which leads to improving the quantities of water reaching residents' homes, as this well serves about 9,000 people.
This comes as part of the emergency repair and maintenance project linked to combating the coronavirus, implemented by CMWU in cooperation with the German development organization GIZ.
The Coastal Municipalities Water Utility maintained and rehabilitated the UNRWA Northern water well in Khan Yunis in the Southern Governorates of Gaza Strip. This well serves about 9000 people.
This comes within the framework of the emergency repair and maintenance project related to fighting against the Coronavirus, which is implemented by the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility upon an agreement signed with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
