CMWU Carries Out Maintenance on "Al-Jineina and UNDP" Sewage Pumping Stations in Rafah
Gaza / CMWU
As part of its continuous preparations for the rainy season, CMWU carried out maintenance on "Al-Jineina and UNDP" sewage pumping stations in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to raise those stations' efficiency to receive the winter season, as those stations pump sewage water to the Central treatment plant and serve about 70 thousand people of Rafah city's residents.
It is worth noting that CMWU's crews in Rafah continue to work around the clock amid the coronavirus pandemic, in order to prepare the rainwater drainage and sanitation system for the rainy season, to ensure it operates as required and to protect residents and their homes from the risks of rainwater flooding.
