CMWU, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, distributed chlorine solution to all municipalities of the Gaza Strip, aiming to enable the municipalities to disinfect the sewage facilities under their jurisdiction, in addition to protecting the crews working in them amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This intervention comes in the context of CMWU's program aiming to strengthen coronavirus-related precautionary measures, with CMWU having, since the very first moment of the coronavirus entering the Gaza Strip, distributed protective clothing, equipment, and disinfection materials to all workers at water and sanitation facilities affiliated with the Gaza Strip's various municipalities, in addition to disinfecting all water and sanitation facilities in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
