
CMWU teams, in cooperation with UNICEF and Khan Younis Municipality, carried out emergency maintenance works on the wastewater transmission pipeline serving the “Hasbet Al-Samak” Pumping Station in Khan Younis City. The works aimed to prevent wastewater overflows, reduce environmental and public health risks, ensure the continued operation of the station, and maintain the efficiency of the wastewater system in the area.
The “Hasbet Al-Samak” Pumping Station is a vital facility in Khan Younis City. It collects and pumps wastewater to wastewater ponds west of the governorate and serves more than 100,000 residents, making its continued operation essential for protecting public health and the environment.
