Organizing a Training Course Titled "Training on Emergency Preparedness Mechanisms in the Water and Sanitation Sector"
Funded by UNICEF and in partnership with CMWU and the WASH cluster, a training course was organized in the field of readiness and preparedness for various emergencies for a number of engineers from CMWU and the municipalities. This comes as part of the continuous efforts to raise the level of readiness of the emergency teams affiliated with CMWU and the municipalities of the Gaza Strip, which work during emergencies, particularly wars and crises.
The opening speech was delivered by CMWU's Executive Director Eng. Monther Shoblaq, Eng. Eman Aqel, Water Projects Officer at UNICEF, and Mr. Yasser Nassar, Coordinator of the WASH cluster in the Gaza Strip.
In turn, Eng. Monther Shoblaq praised UNICEF's active role in supporting CMWU's efforts to upgrade the water and sanitation sector and raise the efficiency of those working in the water sector, in addition to its role in providing the support needed for the operation and maintenance needs of water and sanitation facilities, aiming to continue providing services to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
