CMWU, in cooperation with Al-Nasr Municipality, organized an awareness day titled "Rational Water Consumption", on the occasion of World Water Day, for a number of students of Marmara and Asrar Al-Qubandi Secondary Girls' Schools in Al-Nasr town, Rafah governorate, south of the Gaza Strip.

Ms. Suhair Al-Bayoumi, Public Awareness Officer at CMWU, gave an overview of the water situation in the Gaza Strip, the main water problems and their causes, the health risks resulting from water contamination, and ways to protect water from contamination and waste, noting the role of CMWU, the Strip's municipalities, the Water Authority, and all international organizations, in improving the water and sanitation services provided to the Strip's residents, through implementing numerous water and sanitation projects in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
