CMWU Carries Out Maintenance Works at the Al-Rantisi Hospital Desalination Plant in Gaza City

Published on

CMWU technical teams carried out inspection and maintenance works at the desalination plant at Al-Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City. The plant has a production capacity of approximately 60 cubic meters per day and provides desalinated water to serve several departments of the hospital.

The works included the necessary technical inspections and the repair of faults affecting the plant, helping restore its operational efficiency and ensure the continued provision of the water required by the hospital’s departments.

In a related intervention, CMWU technical teams carried out urgent inspection and maintenance works at the Deir Al-Balah Municipality desalination plant, a Spectra Aquifer 4000 unit with a nominal production capacity of 16 cubic meters per day. The plant had sustained damage following the bombing of a nearby building, which resulted in it being taken out of service.

These interventions are part of CMWU’s ongoing efforts to maintain the readiness of water facilities, restore damaged plants to operation, and support the continuity of water services, particularly in healthcare facilities where water is essential for the continued provision of medical services.
