Gaza / CMWU

CMWU, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, distributed protective tools and disinfection materials to workers at water and sanitation facilities affiliated with CMWU and the Strip's various municipalities, in order to protect them from the risks of the coronavirus "COVID-19" pandemic's spread.

It is worth noting that CMWU, since the coronavirus spread and the declaration of the state of emergency in Palestinian territory, has set up a program including numerous measures and activities aiming to strengthen preventive protection among workers in water and sanitation services from the risk of coronavirus infection, with CMWU having previously distributed protective tools and clothing and numerous disinfection materials to the crews working at the Strip's municipalities, in addition to organizing and hosting numerous workshops and training courses aiming to train and qualify the crews working in water and sanitation to deal with those tools and how to work during pandemic outbreaks within the Gaza Strip, in order to preserve their safety, in addition to disinfecting all water and sanitation facilities in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
