CMWU's Director-General Eng. Monther Shoblaq conducted a field tour of North Gaza Strip governorate, during which he visited all the municipalities of the northern governorate, with Mr. Mamdouh Al-Ghazali, Deputy Director-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Mr. Ayman Abu Zuraiba, participating in this tour, with meetings held during this visit with the mayors of Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, and Umm Al-Nasr, and some municipal council members in those municipalities and directors of their various departments.
This tour aims to strengthen relations and cooperation between CMWU and the municipalities and to learn about all the challenges and problems facing the water and sanitation sector in the north of the Strip, and to work to overcome all the challenges and difficulties facing the work of CMWU and the municipalities, which leads to the continuity of the services provided to residents, particularly amid the exceptional circumstances the Gaza Strip is going through.
In this context, the mayors highly praised the visit of CMWU's Director-General and his accompanying delegation, expressing their appreciation for CMWU's diligent efforts, which have significantly contributed to developing the water and sanitation sector in the Gaza Strip despite the crises and difficult circumstances the Strip is currently going through, which have cast their shadow over all aspects of life, in addition to its continuous cooperation and support for all the Strip's municipalities in order to upgrade the level of services provided to residents in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
