CMWU and Rafah Municipality honored the Turkish Red Crescent Society, in appreciation of its efforts and support for various projects aimed at developing the water and sanitation sector in various areas of the Gaza Strip. This came during an honoring ceremony organized in cooperation with the Al-Musabbeh area neighborhood committee in Rafah, in order to thank the Turkish Red Crescent Society and those in charge of implementing the sewage network extension project for Al-Musabbeh area in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

This meeting was attended by Rafah Municipality's Mayor Dr. Anwar Al-Shaer, Director of CMWU's Rafah headquarters Eng. Mohammed Al-Abwaini, Eng. Mo'taz Abu Al-Qumbuz, Eng. Fareed Sha'ban, Eng. Hassan Al-Shaer, and the head of the Turkish Red Crescent Society's mission in the Gaza Strip and his accompanying delegation.

In his speech during this ceremony, Eng. Mohammed Al-Abwaini thanked the Turkish Red Crescent Society for its generous support for this project, and affirmed that CMWU, in cooperation with Rafah Municipality, will exert every effort to solve all the problems suffered by the residents of Al-Musabbeh area and the rest of Rafah city's areas.

In turn, the residents of Al-Musabbeh area thanked CMWU, Rafah Municipality, and the Turkish Red Crescent Society for implementing the sewage network extension project in the area, which ended their suffering from cesspits, which used to cause them numerous environmental problems, hoping that this project would be followed by several projects targeting the development of the water and sanitation sector in the area, with this meeting including a discussion of the various problems suffered by the area's residents.
