Work Continues on the Rainwater Collection and Drainage Project in the Central Governorate

Eng. Radwan Abu Kareem, Director of CMWU's Central regional headquarters, stated that work on the rainwater collection and drainage system project on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital Street in Deir al-Balah continues, with the project's completion rate exceeding 40%, noting that this project would lead to a radical solution to the problem of rainwater flooding in the area and the streets leading to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, facilitating residents' movement in this area during the winter season.
Eng. Abu Kareem explained that the project is funded by the German government through the German Corporation for International Cooperation GIZ at a value of $336,450, and implemented by the Norwegian Refugee Council NRC in cooperation with CMWU and Deir al-Balah Municipality, with Ibn Shanan Company implementing the project, which consists of 710 mm diameter UPVC pipes and their rainwater drainage accessories.
