CMWU, funded by UNICEF, repaired the sewage transmission line for the Al-Saftawi pumping station, located in Jabalia city, north of the Gaza Strip.
The project included extending and installing a new 500mm-diameter, 1-kilometer transmission line using HDPE pipes, aiming to serve about 30,000 residents of the area.
This intervention is an important step to address sewage overflow and accumulation problems, and ensure the continuity and efficiency of the pumping station's operation. The project also contributes to protecting the environment, preserving public health, and improving the quality of sanitation services provided to citizens.
These efforts are part of the ongoing cooperation between CMWU and UNICEF, to strengthen water and sanitation infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, meeting residents' needs and strengthening their ability to face challenges.
