As part of efforts to improve sanitation services in the Gaza Strip, CMWU, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out maintenance works on the sanitation bridge affiliated with Beit Lahia Municipality, which serves about 80,000 people.
This step comes amid the difficult conditions facing the Gaza Strip, with an acute shortage of the equipment and machinery needed to operate and maintain vital infrastructure facilities. The Utility affirmed that work is currently underway to maintain the sanitation machinery affiliated with the municipalities of the central and northern areas, as part of an emergency plan to improve the efficiency of sanitation services and ease the burden on residents.
