The Executive Director receives a delegation from OCHA to review the expansion project of the seawater desalination plant south of the Strip.
CMWU's Executive Director Eng. Monther Shoblaq received a delegation from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), at the seawater desalination plant south of the Gaza Strip, with the delegation including the Middle East and North Africa officer Ms. Asma Chalabi, and the delegation was received by Eng. Zeidan Abu Zuhri and Eng. Yasser Nassar from UNICEF's office in the Gaza Strip.
In turn, Eng. Monther Shoblaq welcomed the visiting delegation, praising the efforts made by OCHA to support the water and sanitation sector in the Gaza Strip, and also briefed them on the progress of the desalination plant expansion project, to become capable of serving a greater number of residents of Rafah and Khan Younis governorates and improving the water service provided to the residents of those areas.
