The Operational Status of Sewage Treatment Plants Amid Continuing Israeli Bombardment
First: The Central Sewage Treatment Plant East of Al-Bureij, Central Governorate
The plant's operational status is stable, through coordination between the resident staff (the operating shift) at the plant and the remote system operation team.
Second: The Central Treatment Plant East of Khan Younis
The operational status at the plant is proceeding as usual in terms of receiving and treating sewage water quantities, as the plant operates via remote control in addition to field inspection by the plant's operational staff whenever necessary.
Third: The Central Treatment Plant North of the Gaza Strip
Regarding the Northern sewage treatment plant (the influent station):
Coordination is currently underway with the International Committee of the Red Cross to move a vehicle from Beit Lahia to transport the plant's operating team, in order to inspect the level of sewage water in the Beit Lahia basins (the random pool), after the Water Authority diverted the sewage water to the basins, and the evacuation of operators from the Eastern treatment plant for three days, converting it to operate on the biological safety system "circulation mode".
