CMWU, with support from Oxfam, and in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, began rehabilitation works on the Al-Satar 2 well, which was completely destroyed, in Khan Younis city.

The works include fully rehabilitating the well shaft, rehabilitating the pumping system, carrying out the electromechanical works, in addition to equipping the well room. The well has a production capacity of about 65 cubic meters per hour.

This project is part of efforts aimed at expanding the scope of water service and supplying residents and displaced persons in the Al-Satar and Al-Israa areas with water, benefiting about 15,000 people, amid the acute shortage of water sources the area is experiencing, particularly after the significant destruction sustained by water facilities.
