Beginning the Implementation of a Project to Separate Rainwater Networks from Sewage Networks in Various Areas of Jabalia City

CMWU has begun overseeing the implementation of a project to separate rainwater networks from sewage networks in various areas of Jabalia city, north of the Gaza Strip, with this project targeting 16 connection points between the networks inside the city, funded by Anera and in cooperation with Jabalia Municipality and implemented by a local contractor, the Eastern Palestinian Company.
The project aims to separate the rainwater networks from sewage in those areas, in order to strengthen the rainwater drainage system in them and prevent sewage water overflow in roads and residential neighborhoods, especially during rainy weather depressions, in addition to achieving the greatest possible benefit from rainwater.
The project also includes rehabilitating the "Al-Saftawi" and "Khalaf" rainwater collection basins in Jabalia city, as well as decommissioning 3 subsidiary sewage stations and converting them into the sewage system, with the project's value reaching $300,000, serving about 68,000 residents.
