Completion of the Maintenance and Rehabilitation Project for Electric Power Generators at Water and Sanitation Facilities
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU completed the implementation of the project to maintain and rehabilitate electric power generators at water and sanitation facilities in various governorates of the Gaza Strip, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The project included maintaining and rehabilitating these generators and replacing all their damaged parts, aiming to raise their efficiency so they operate as required during emergencies and power outages.
This project comes as part of CMWU's efforts to address the impact of the electricity outage crisis on the operation of water and sanitation facilities, in order to continue ensuring the supply of services to residents.
It is worth noting that CMWU periodically carries out maintenance on the generators of various water and sanitation facilities in the Gaza Strip, funded by various international organizations, in addition to supplying some main and strategic facilities with solar power systems and permanent power lines, to ensure the continued operation of those facilities and avoid the interruption of water and sanitation services in the targeted areas in numerous neighborhoods and cities of the Gaza Strip.
