Completion of the Sanitation Network Construction Project in Jourat Al-Lut Neighborhood in Khan Younis
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, completed the project to construct a sanitation network in Jourat Al-Lut neighborhood in Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip, funded by the Canadian government through Action Against Hunger.
The project included extending a main sanitation line 3,500 meters long and installing 100 manholes of various diameters, filling in cesspits, and installing branch connections for residents' homes to the new network.
The project aims to ease residents' suffering and improve the sanitation services provided to the residents of the targeted area, and the elimination of cesspits also contributes to protecting the environment and the groundwater aquifer from the risks of sewage water leakage.
