Completion of the Sanitation Network Construction Project in Al-Orouba Neighborhood in Al-Fukhari East of Khan Younis
Gaza – CMWU
CMWU, in cooperation with Al-Fukhari Municipality and funded by the Kuwait Fund for Development through the Islamic Development Bank, completed implementing the project "Constructing a Sanitation Network in Al-Orouba Neighborhood in Al-Fukhari, East of Khan Younis Governorate, South of the Gaza Strip".
This project included installing sanitation networks 3.5 kilometers long, in addition to 300 household connections.
It is worth noting that this project ended the great suffering of Al-Orouba neighborhood's residents as a result of the absence of a sanitation network and their reliance on cesspits, which had become a great danger to the environment and residents of that area, due to those pits continuously overflowing, leading to the formation of health hazards harmful to the environment and residents, in addition to those pits' continuous collapses.
